Spicy Hummus Dip

Spicy Hummus Dip Recipe
Ingredients
  • 1 15-ounce can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 6 tablespoons tahini
  • 6 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper, plus more for garnish
  • 1/4 cup jalapeno pepper, minced
  • 1/4 cup red bell pepper, seeded and diced
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
How to Prepare
  1. In a food processor or blender, puree chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, yogurt and oil until smooth, adding water as needed to make a creamy mixture.
  2. Transfer puree to a medium bowl
  3. Add garlic, cumin, cayenne, jalapeno and bell pepper.
  4. Mix Well
  5. Season with Salt and Pepper
  6. Cover and chill 2-4 hours to allow flavors to blend. Garnish with cayenne pepper just before serving.
